The evening session takes place at 2080’s Bishopgate offices and anyone with an interest in PMO and PMO Leadership issues are invited to attend. Find out more information via the PMO Flashmob website.
The event takes place on Thursday 28th September from 6pm
The PMO Leadership Role is one which has two different angles – the leadership of the PMO and the PMO as an entity within an organisation which provides the leadership and link between strategy formulation and the delivery of programmes and projects.
For both sides of PMO Leadership there is still much to learn and understand and as our workplaces and organisations become increasingly volatile and unpredictable, PMO leadership will continue to change and adapt.
So what can we learn about PMO Leadership in a Chaotic World?
In this session – through a presentation and integrated discussion we will learn what it means to lead and manage a PMO in today’s VUCA world.
The session will also introduce two models – including the Centre-Leader and the Strategic Execution Framework which can help us consider the skills we need to provide strong PMO leadership in the future.
The session is hosted and led by Tim Wasserman and Alaina Fletcher:

PMO Flashmob is a learning and social meetup group with the serious subject of PMOs at its heart. It’s open to anyone with an interest in PMOs. Events take place across the UK – and anyone can request an event to appear near their location.
Aside from events – PMO Flashmob is also about curating and sharing great PMO knowledge and content from the wider PMO community. This is achieved through:
- Inside PMO – the PMO Manager’s Lunch produces a report which shares real world practices and experiences in common PMO challenge areas. See the Inside PMO series and download your copies.
- Research – we produce the PMO Benchmark Report and conduct surveys and polls which pull out great insights from the PMO community.
- Working Groups – we host working groups to work on projects which interest us and the wider PMO community. Our first one is the PMO Competency Framework.
